12 Days of Gift Guides - Day 11: Gifts that Give Back

On the 11th day of gift guides, Jenny gave to me…gifts that promote charity!

1. Cuddle and Kind Dolls - Ethically produced, hand-knit dolls that help feed children. 1 doll = 10 meals. Adorable handmade dolls with name, birthday, personality and favorite quote. These are one of my favorite gifts to give to children. All of my children have them and we gift them to family.

2. Bombas - Bombas is a comfort focused sock and apparel brand with a mission to help those in need. One purchased = one donated to a homeless shelter. Socks are incredible, Gripper Slippers are even better…they even have parent child options.

3. Able Clothing/Bags - One of my favorite apparel brands, Able employs women in impoverished communities by giving them a living wage, education and a means to break the cycle. Able started with scarves. In Ethiopia, the founders, also adoptive parents, met women coming out of the commercial sex industry who asked for help in finding jobs. We trained them to make scarves and after selling over 4,000 of them in two months, we knew we were onto something. People understood that if you're committed to ending poverty, you must create jobs, and do so for women. I have a personal relationship with this brand. Use code JENNYBF25 for 25% off.

4. Kiehl’s Gift Sets - Kiehl's has helped donate over 7 million meals* to Feeding America, the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization. From this limited edition collection, 100% of Kiehl’s net profits, up to $100,000, will help provide 1,100,000 meals* to families this holiday season.

5. DIFF Eyewear - Not only are most of these glasses BOGO, DIFF”s partnership with Sightsavers has provided sight-saving treatments to people in need through eye exams, surgeries, medicine, and more. They’ve helped provide the gift of sight to over 2.3 million people in need…and in my quest to help women gain financial independence on social media, DIFF donated to my conference! My personal favorites are the Kaia and Carson.

6. Pottery Barn St. Jude Throw Blanket - Our family donates monthly to St. Jude due to the incredible services that they are able to provide families and children suffering from cancer. Twenty five percent of the purchase price of this cozy throw will go to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which is dedicated to finding a cure for childhood cancer.

7. Billie Razors /Wipes - Since their launch, Billie has donated a portion of their revenue to support women and important causes around the world – currently, Every Mother Counts, YWCA and Black Girls Code. Gift their razors and their Wonder Wipes as stocking stuffers !

8. DoughP Cookie Dough - The founder is so sweet , her mission is incredible…. and the COOKIE DOUGH IS DELICIOUS. Founder Kelsey confronted her issues with alcohol and got sober in September 2015. (SWEET!) She found her "happy place" in the kitchen and began baking, stumbling on a great egg-sub that made her cookie dough safe to eat! Kelsey made a splash on Shark Tank and was named Forbes 30 Under 30 & Vegas 40 Under 40.

DoughP donates a portion of every sale to the SHE RECOVERS® Foundation, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $40,000. SHE RECOVERS is a non-profit charity with a mission to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health in support of women facing addiction issues.

9. Angel Tree - Each year, we ask our children to take one name off the Angel Tree and then we go as a family to purchase gifts to give to other families in need. This is a great way to encourage kindness and teach children to give back to their peers in seasons of struggle. Walmart has partnered with the Salvation Army to make this experience even easier.

10. Benevolent Brownies - These brownies are not only the BROWNIES used in Ben n Jerry’s ice cream, the Buddhist founded company hires employees, like convicted felons and refugees, who normally face barriers to employment. The chance to have a stable income while developing their knowledge and skills has transformed many employees' lives, and helped alleviate some of the poverty of the Yonkers community.

11. Parks Project National Parks Calendar - Even the non-campers can appreciate a bright, graphic wall calendar that supports the National Parks Conservation Association and its mission to preserve public lands for generations to come. With a love of biology, birding, and fishing, artist Wyatt Hersey’s love for public lands stems from the ways it connects him with community and is the inspiration behind his work.

12. Love Your Melon beanies - Founded by two friends in an entrepreneurship class at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota , the mission was simply the idea of putting a hat on every child battling cancer in America. After achieving the original goal of giving 45,000 hats, one for every child battling cancer in America, Love Your Melon set a new goal of giving one million dollars to pediatric cancer research and providing immediate support to children and their families. They donate 50% of their net profit. To date, they have given over 8.3 million dollars to the fight against pediatric cancer and over 200,000 hats to children battling cancer.

13. YWCA Coffee Set - Show your support for victims of domestic violence. This delicious and inviting coffee batch has something for everyone – sweet and savory. Proceeds of the sale of this gift batch benefit the YWCA Weaver Domestic Violence Center.
