With love from Instagram.

When a friend lost her home in a fire due to domestic violence, I turned to my community on Instagram. The collective hearts of many heard the call…..and they answered. With donations in hand, I shopped Walmart Home to flip this dance teacher’s home in three hours.

Starting with the family room foundation, I replaced the former shag rug with a new herringbone blue and white rug to tie in the neutrals while adding a pop of color. I styled tufted, geometric blue pillows in the couch corners and paired those with solid, trellis Boho pillows for $15 to coordinate with the rug. A pair of white washed table lamps added warmth to brighten this new space.

After losing everything in the former dining room, I refreshed this mother’s new kitchen table with a 16- piece, textured, white dinnerware set. Layered, woven placemats ,on top of a neutral green table runner, complete the place setting and now welcome friends and family to the table!

From ashes, beauty has risen thanks to the kindness of strangers and the refreshingly affordable home decor at Walmart.
