Back to School Classics with GAP

In fifth grade, I waited in line to buy Gap overalls and a New Kids on the Block cassette tape before heading back to school. While boy bands may have changed a bit since then, GAP’s classic back to school looks are still just as popular for kids and teens!

After adding two pairs of uniform shorts to our bag, my little man found a Spiderman backpack that I quickly realized we were not leaving without. The Fit Tech shorts and joggers , perfect with graphic tees,  are my TOP PICK for boys….their soft knit fabric and elevated lounge look makes these the perfect bottoms for kids on the go. To avoid the hassle of buttons for a toddler, I added pull-on jeans for a casual look that will carry my son through winter. Topped with a letterman jacket, it’s the perfect look for a cool day or family photos.  If you’re in need of boys’ uniforms, they have those too! 

My four daughters are very particular when it comes to clothes both in style and texture. I purchased no fuss, pull-on athletic shorts and trendy, breathable graphic tees for an entire look that cost less than $25. My tweens have also discovered the glory of cut off jean shorts and have spent many consecutive days in their stretchy American classics.

In the hopes of expediting bed and bath time at the end of a long school day, all five of my littles got new Yoda Star Wars PJ’s. Maybe Jedi Mastery will make that process easier? Before I checked out, I caught a glimpse of the overalls that started it all and grabbed a pair for myself. Thirty years later, they still make me smile!
