The LEGO Family Challenge
Our family is no stranger to LEGO. In a home with seven children, we know our way around a LEGO brick. In an effort to give our tablets a break, we designed an imaginative and creative family challenge using three new LEGO sets we purchased at Target.
Two parents, one nanny, five children…BOYS vs GIRLS….two hours…who would come out on top? The boys opted for the LEGO Ninjago Overlord Dragon while the girls split up to build the LEGO Friends Heartlake City Movie Theatre and the LEGO City Family House.
Although our LEGO creations may not have passed any structural reviews, I’m happy to report that the girls came out on top! With the Danish words “leg godt,” meaning play well, at the heart of LEGO, we stayed true to the brand’s ideals. We played well; the girls just played a bit better!
