Life Lessons in lululemon

Home workouts don’t look quite like they used to….but as the mother of five daughters, I know that I am their first teacher.

 Although exercising in our home gym is a bit more distracting right now, I know that my daughters are watching. My girls are learning what it means to commit to a healthy lifestyle, they are learning that it’s okay for mothers to take a break and they are learning about the fit and function of active wear. With a teenage daughter “borrowing” my high-rise leggings and stealing my sports bras, I decided to share our favorite lululemon pieces for spring! The women in our house rely on lululemon for support and style…whether we are exercising or lounging.

 The Align Super High-Rise Pant is a style that this mother really appreciates! The tummy control assists with post pregnancy skin while the high-rise style creates a tailored waistline. My daughter is wearing the Align II pant in the 25” length, a buttery soft fit with a waistband designed to lay flat without any digging.  Both of us solely wear the lululemon Energy bras. Despite our two cup size difference, we are supported in all of our activities from running on the treadmill to outdoor hikes.

 While our bra style is the same, our tank style is much different. I prefer the lululemon Love Pleated Tank. This flattering style has an A-line cut that doesn’t tug at waistlines or tummies and can be front tucked, knotted or worn loose. My teenage daughter prefers the more form fitting Swiftly Tech Racerback tank for all of her activities. This style has “anti stink” technology and is designed for training and running.

For the ultimate combination of style and comfort, I have discovered the Well Being Sweater, the perfect light sweater that can be worn during yoga or on the go. The side slit is especially flattering and allows for greater movement while the breathable back allows you to stay cool. I’ve also found this to look great front tucked into the Align leggings and can really polish off your look after an intensive workout.

 Modeling healthy habits and teaching my daughters to love their bodies is one of my most important roles as a mother. With the style and grace afforded to me by lululemon, I hope that this is a life lesson my daughters will continue to value.
