Styling Outfits from the Comfort of Home
Audrey Hepburn once said, “Life is a party. Dress like it.” While I fully support this fashion and lifestyle philosophy, I’m struggling to find the time needed to pull it all together! I’m guessing Audrey didn’t habitually over commit herself to providing snacks for multiple classroom parties.
My signature “lounge glam” style may not qualify as “black tie” but it does meet my functional lifestyle standards of style and comfort. The majority of my wardrobe is from Nordstrom, hand delivered to my front door because I don’t have a lot of extra hours in my day to try find the perfect outfit. I rely on their ‘free shipping and free returns policy” because it is a no risk, more convenient approach to fashion that suits my lifestyle. All of these looks were completely styled online and while I kept most pieces, I sent back a few not pictured…and it cost me nothing to do so. Check out today’s stories for more Nordstrom looks under $100 and click on the photos below for links to these specific outfits. Save yourself time and hassle…shop and style from home!
*Alternatives are offered for all pieces over $100.
My favorite classic white tank and jean jacket are “lounge glam” staples but when paired with a pleated leopard skirt, a stylish hat and suede booties, this comfortable look has become my new fall favorite!
Another weekly look for me is my favorite classic white tank, a pair of control tummy Spanx leggings, a maxi leopard print cardigan and comfortable pair of slip on sneakers. This look can take you from volunteering in school to a dressy casual dinner.
The BP cardigan sweater has sold out however I linked a near identical one below.
A classic, cashmere sweater is an essential piece of any fall wardrobe and I was lucky to find one for under $100, that came in several colors, to carry me all the way into spring. I purchased the camel and black colors and often wear those with a stylish military jacket on colder days. A dark brown, knee high boot never goes out of style so be sure to add a great one, like these Frye ones, to your wardrobe. My favorite brand of jean is AG, although for a less expensive option, you can’t go wrong with Articles of Society.
We all know that a “little black dress’ is a wardrobe essential, but lets give our black coats a break and usher in a new color for fall and winter. This “frost” colored puffer coat is a gorgeous warm ivory that pairs well with black or brown. Keep your feet dry in a pair of waterproof “duck boots,” a utility boot you can wear all year long.
Add a bit of SPARKLE to your fall and winter wardrobe with a light sweater featuring a few STARS. Choose from the Rails navy and gray option here or from two colors of the Lucky ones linked below.
