A high end furniture rep spoke these words to me while shopping two years ago. I politely responded, "I actually can't think of too many things I would regret more in life than spending that much on a rug. I'll have to show you what I can do with a $200 rug."

With seven kids and two dogs, I know our limits with home decor, especially in high traffic areas. I can completely refresh a space with a $200 rug and $50 worth of accents. I recently warmed up and brightened our kitchen lounge with the My Texas House’ Santillo rug, a cream and griege rug that's easy to clean! (I know this because my dog tracked pizza on our new rug.) I angled a rust, cream and gold blanket over the edge of the couch and threw two $15 tufted trellis and tasseled pillows on top for a warm and cozy space!
