Read MoreWith five children under five and two tweens, our family decided to get our dog, Scout, a “friend.” That friend has now grown into an overly affectionate, 125 pound golden retriever who has a difficult time acknowledging that he is not a lap dog. Perhaps bringing home a baby and a puppy at the same time was not the best decision to be made but gifting our pups BarkBox each month was a better one.
Read MoreLike MOTHER, like DAUGHTERS. As much as I look forward to my weekly Target trips, my tweens are now equally as excited. Although they still fill our cart with crafts and key chains for their backpacks, my girls now make a pit stop in Girls’ Clothing. While the days of picking out their outfits are long gone, I have been pleasantly surprised to find that my children also appreciate a “casual glam” approach to fashion, age appropriate looks that we can always find at Target.

Although Grace couldn’t wait to go to college, the fears and doubts of moving to another state, in the middle of a pandemic, set in shortly before we left. I knew that creating a room that was both stylish and peaceful would help to ensure a successful transition.

Read MoreWith the uncertainty of the upcoming school year and parents preparing to adjust to a multitude of educational scenarios, planning for back to school feels just a bit different this year. Regardless of if I’ll be walking my kids into school or attempting to teach them all from home, I know that Walmart has me covered for whatever the first day of school may be.
With a Masters in Education, I know that even the slightest distraction can derail a productive day of learning. Uncomfortable attire can really side track the educational process which is why I prefer soft, knit fabrics with elastic waistbands for my children. This year, I selected multiple, four piece sets from Walmart that my girls can mix and match. For under $15, these activewear collections can easily blend together for different looks and when broken down to $3.75 a piece, I don’t have to feel guilty if one gets ruined during art or recess.
Read MoreWith extra time at home and sports schedules changing, my teenage son and I took advantage of the downtime by decluttering and organizing his room with products we ordered from Lowe’s. Anyone who has a teenage boy can sympathize with the challenge of a closet clean out as the abundance of old cleats, last year’s jersey’s and sports collectibles take up far too much space.

Read MoreOur family has a tradition on Father’s Day where a gift to honor my husband becomes a memorable experience. This year we gifted my husband a Yeti cooler from Academy Sports and filled it with a travel itinerary for a family beach vacation to the Florida Panhandle. What began as a gift to celebrate Daddy turned into a much needed saltwater getaway. Check out my ideas for gift ideas from Academy Sports that make your Father’s Day one to remember.
Read MoreHaving spent most of my life living on the beaches of Florida, there aren’t too may corners of the state that I have not seen. In journeying to the Florida Panhandle from our new home in Nashville, I expected to view the same white sand and green waters that I had been accustomed to……yet I was completely blown away by the clear blue water and white sand beach behind the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa.
Read MoreAs the mother of seven children, I often refer to my signature style as “lounge glam.” It’s the look where I want to feel put together and polished but I don’t want to wear anything with buttons or zippers. Soma, a brand for women by women, never sacrifices beauty for comfort. Their line of PJ’s are the softest I’ve ever worn and I’m sharing my favorite looks for every woman who appreciates the perfect blend of comfort and style.
Read MoreLike most mothers, I have little time to myself so I need to make self care count. I recently switched to Billie razors after the recommendation of several trusted friends. I needed a razor that could handle my extra bumpy knees and shave products that wouldn’t irritate my sensitive skin. Billie’s ergonomically designed razors were a welcome change to my drug store razor and the sweet smelling shave gel left my skin razor- burn free!
Read MoreHome workouts don’t look quite like they used to….but as the mother of five daughters, I know that I am their first teacher. Although exercising in our home gym is a bit more distracting right now, I know that my daughters are watching. My girls are learning what it means to commit to a healthy lifestyle, they are learning that it’s okay for mothers to take a break and they are learning about the fit and function of active wear. With a teenage daughter “borrowing” my high-rise leggings and stealing my sports bras, I decided to share our favorite lululemon pieces for spring! The women in our house rely on lululemon for support and style…whether we are exercising or lounging.
